If you import or export goods through Indian customs — or advise clients who do — this Knowledge Hub is for you. We'll be publishing short, practical pieces on the procedures, classifications and policy changes that affect how your cargo moves and how much duty you pay.
What you'll find here
Our posts will sit in five broad areas: customs procedure, HS classification, FTAs and duty drawback, trade-compliance, and regulatory news. You can filter by topic from the Knowledge Hub landing page.
Expect three kinds of pieces:
- Explainers — clear walk-throughs of procedures like filing a Bill of Entry, claiming duty drawback, or applying for advance rulings.
- Updates — short notes when CBIC issues a notification, a new FTA enters force, or a tariff line changes.
- Field notes — patterns we see across the shipments we clear: where importers get tripped up, where duty savings are routinely missed, what examiners are scrutinising this quarter.
Why we're writing
Customs work moves fast. A circular changes a documentation requirement; an FTA opens a new corridor; an examiner re-interprets a heading. Most importers find out the hard way. We'd rather you find out from us.
The goal isn't to replace professional advice — it's to give you enough context that, when you do call a customs consultant, you're asking sharper questions.
How to use it
Bookmark the Knowledge Hub page. Subscribe to our LinkedIn (link in the footer) for new-post notifications. If a topic affects you directly — say, a tariff change in your HS line — get in touch and we'll go deeper on a call.
Thanks for reading. The next post is in the works.
